Britt and Ben

A little about the couple:

Britt and Ben’s romance started where most do - Monash University in Gippsland.

At the time Britt and Ben were both living on campus. Their paths would cross due to Britt being friends with one of Ben’s room mates. These interactions were brief in nature, mainly because Britt is a night owl, coming around in the evening, this would coincide with Ben brushing his teeth and getting ready for his solid 8-10 hours. On occasions if Britt came around a bit earlier, she would catch Ben before his retiree bedtime and they would chat. The banter with these two was strong from day one. This went on for some time until one fateful night.

On this night in question Ben and Britt were to attend a party on campus, which wasn’t a rare occurrence. The drinks were flowing and the chat between Ben and Britt was strong. They spent the entire night just talking and laughing, accompanied by a healthy volume of alcohol, of course. Towards the end of the night Ben and Britt would share their very first kiss.

From this point Britt and Ben became inseparable, they travelled the world together and added a new member to their family, in their fur baby, Tilly.

Dandenong wedding venues

A little about their big day:

Britt and Ben chose the beautiful Poets Lane as their wedding venue, located in the picturesque Dandenong ranges. It is easy to see why they settled on this as their venue. Poets Lane boasts a stunning tree framed ceremony space, which you would expect from a Dandenong Ranges wedding venue. They also have an indoor chapel, which in its own right is a great space, but also provides a very good backup if the weather is an issue.

Britt and Ben really wanted their ceremony to be unequivocally them. The cherry on top with this was having their pup Tilly involved in the ceremony. Couples often ask if I think it is a good idea to have their pooch involved in the wedding ceremony. The short answer is that I 100% support that decision if you want your dog in the ceremony (I am a massive animal lover), they always add something. In this case, Tilly let out a little bark during a quiet spot in the ceremony, demonstrating her elite comedic timing, and to be honest it brought the house down.

Britt and Ben went all out when putting together their team of suppliers and it paid off. I mean look at these photos from the talented Ze & Ge photography, perfect!

Some kind words about their ceremony:

“Hilarious guy! Very friendly and helpful and made the whole process very easy. Very efficient and timely with communications and wrote an amazing script for our day. Everybody loved him, would highly recommend!”
